Ho rifatto il logo della serie TV Black Sails, ideata da Jonathan E. Steinberg e Robert Levine e prodotta da Michael Bay per il canale via cavo Starz.
La serie, ambientata nei Caraibi del XVIII secolo, segue le avvincenti avventure della ciurma guidata da James Flint, impegnata nella caccia al leggendario galeone spagnolo Urca de Lima, carico di un inestimabile bottino.
Lo ammetto, il logo originale è davvero figo, ma ho voluto fare un azzardo, dando un tono più piratesco e aggressivo all'identità di Black Sails.
I rebranded the TV show Black Sails, created by Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine and produced by Michael Bay for the Starz cable channel.
The plot of the series, set in the 18th-century Caribbean, follows the gripping adventures of the crew led by James Flint, engaged in the hunt for the legendary Spanish galleon Urca de Lima, laden with priceless booty.
I admit, the original logo is really cool, but I wanted to take a gamble, giving a more piratesque and aggressive tone to the identity of Black Sails.

Nel mio processo di rebranding, ho optato per un completo stravolgimento dell'aspetto originale, adottando un elegante lettering gotico e aggiungendo un'iconico teschio pirata… argh!
In my rebranding process, I opted for a complete overhaul of the original look, adopting elegant blackletter lettering and adding an iconic pirate skull...argh!

Per il rebranding di Black Sails, oltre al nuovo logo e al set di icone, ho deciso di elaborare anche alcuni credits, mantenendo uno stile gotico e aggiungendo una texture grezza e piratesca per accentuare l’atmosfera.
For the rebranding of Black Sails, in addition to the new logo and icon set, I also decided to elaborate some credits, keeping a blackletter style and adding a rough, pirate-like texture to accentuate the atmosphere.
